Merit Street to the White House

While working at Merit Street Media I assisted in the creation of a comprehensive visual package for the 2024 presidential election coverage, encompassing both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. This project showcased the power of innovative 3D motion design in transforming political reporting for a major national network.

The centerpiece of this project was a studio-wide LED screen takeover, providing a dynamic and engaging backdrop for all election-related programming. This immersive environment seamlessly integrated with the network's various shows, ensuring a consistent and visually striking presentation across all platforms. The design aesthetic featured a sophisticated white palette accented with bold red and blue elements, all enhanced by a sleek glass overtone filter that added depth and modernity to the visuals.

My expertise in 3D animation played a crucial role in elevating the production value of the election package. I assisted in crafting a intro video that set the tone for the network's coverage, incorporating fluid transitions and eye-catching motion graphics. The project also involved creating fullscreen graphics, hype content, and specialized LED screen animations that brought energy and information to life for viewers.

A highlight of the project was the creation of various 3D renderings of the White House, which served as a powerful visual anchor throughout the package. These detailed graphics required meticulous attention to lighting and texture to ensure they translated effectively across different media formats. Additionally, we faced the technical challenge of adjusting graphics to prevent washout behind the news anchors, demonstrating our ability to adapt and refine our designs for optimal on-air performance. This project not only showcased cutting-edge 3D motion design but also demonstrated the critical role of visual storytelling in modern political landscape. By combining technical skill with creative vision, we delivered a cohesive and impactful visual experience that enhanced the network's election reporting across the nation.
