3D MOTION DESIGN

2021

Kiromic BioPharma

I explored how advanced 3D visualization can bring clarity to complex biopharmaceutical environments, illustrating how facility design, operational flow, and regulatory standards intersect within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) setting. Through detailed modeling and animation, the project transformed technical renovation plans into a clear visual narrative that stakeholders could easily understand. This work highlighted the power of visual storytelling in biotechnology, demonstrating how thoughtful design and accurate visualization can support safer workflows, more efficient operations, and the continued advancement of life-science research.

In the cutting-edge world of biopharmaceutical research and development, I had the opportunity to create a comprehensive 3D motion graphic for Kiromic, a Houston-based biopharma lab. This project showcased the power of visual storytelling in illustrating complex facility renovations and operational procedures within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.

The scope of the project was significant, encompassing over half of Kiromic's existing building. Using advanced 3D modeling and animation techniques, I crafted a detailed representation of the facility in its current state. This initial visualization served as a baseline, allowing stakeholders to fully grasp the extent of the proposed changes. Through meticulous attention to detail, I ensured that every aspect of the existing layout was accurately portrayed, from laboratory equipment to traffic flow patterns.

Building upon this foundation, I then created a dynamic 3D animation showcasing the facility's transformation to its new state. This portion of the motion graphic highlighted the expanded areas, new equipment installations, and layout designs. By employing rendering techniques, I was able to create a representation of the renovated spaces, giving Kiromic's team a clear vision of the end result before construction even began.

A crucial aspect of the motion graphic was illustrating the new flow of traffic and equipment within the GMP facility. I developed a series of animated sequences demonstrating how employees would proceed through the facility after completing the gowning process for GMP procedures. These animations not only showcased the improved efficiency of the new layout but also served as a valuable tool for training staff on new protocols. By visualizing these processes in a 3D environment, I was able to highlight potential bottlenecks and optimize traffic flow, contributing to the overall efficiency of the facility's operations.

This project exemplified the power of 3D motion design in the biotech industry, bridging the gap between complex architectural plans and real-world implementation. By providing Kiromic with a visual representation of their facility's transformation, I helped facilitate better decision-making, streamline the renovation process, and ensure that the new GMP facility would meet the highest standards of efficiency and compliance.
