For my final project in the shading and rendering class at university, I embarked on an ambitious journey to create a celestial throne room that merged regal grandeur with cosmic wonder. This project challenged me to push my boundaries of 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting techniques at the time to craft an awe-inspiring environment that would captivate my class.
The centerpiece of the scene was a majestic throne, positioned at the end of a long hall flanked by towering columns that stretched towards a seemingly infinite ceiling. These architectural elements were meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of overwhelming scale and importance. Beyond the throne, instead of traditional walls, I rendered a vast expanse of space, showcasing distant nebulas and galaxies in vibrant, ethereal colors. This juxtaposition of classical architecture with the cosmic backdrop created a unique and breathtaking visual experience, blending the concepts of earthly power with the infinite mysteries of the universe.
